Update on Randy

Randy's back in school. He's going to Eagle Gate College, and is taking the Computer Graphics course. He's taking a total of 4 classes right now. Two on Monday and Wednesday, and two on Tuesday and Thursday. One of the classes is a like "self motivation" class. It teaches the power of positive thinking, setting goals, stuff like that. Randy's enjoying this class a lot, and is glad he got to take it during his first term. It's helped him realize he can do more then he thought he could, and it's helped him stick to school.
Another class he is taking is teaching him how to use Photo Shop. He could spend hours on photo shop now, playing with pictures, creating new ones. It's almost better then video games. He he. I think one of his classes is a typing class, and I don't remember what his forth class is. Here are some of his pictures he's put together.

Randy's doing really well in school. At the moment, he's pulling off a 4.0 and is enjoying his schooling. The first term is over next week, and it'll be a new set of 4 classes that he gets to take.

Tuesday's Adventures

Back from the dr. I kidnapped Mary today, and she went to both appointments with me. Both appointments went well. I weighed in at 63 kg. at the first visit. They were glad to see that I have a small "baby bump." After the EAGeR appointment, Mary and I went to Crown Burger for lunch, then to Smith's Marketplace to find Mary some summery shirts for her trip to Vegas.

Randy finished his work today, and was able to meet us at Primary Children's for the echo. I think this was the fastest trip to the cardiologist I've ever taken. They were right on time, if not a few minutes early. We went into the room, and they did the echo. LP was pretty good for the first part. Then Mom came in and he started wiggling like crazy. After he settled down from Mom showing up, he decided to do a head stand, and tucked himself away where the drs couldn't see his heart any more. The little stinker. Luckily the drs had enough of what they needed, and said things looked really good. He has a heart, and his heart has 4 chambers. Ha ha.

After that appointment, Mom had to go back to the house for the cement crew, Randy headed off to school early so he could finish his homework, and Mary and I went out for ice cream. That was pretty much our day.

The rumors are true! We're having a baby! We wanting to make sure this pregnancy was going to last before telling anyone. At 16 weeks, things are still looking great! We are both so excited and can't wait for him to get here! Due date is October 9, 2009.

New Years Resolutions - Looking Back on Last Year

Well, I guess it's that time of year again. A time when we all make promises to ourselves and others that we don't intend to keep. It's a time when you look back on life, evaluating the choices and decisions that have brought you to where you are. Did you do everything you could? Is the world a better place because you were alive last year? Or is my existence just that; existing. What have I done? Am I any better then I was a year ago? Have I accomplished all that I wanted to?
Looking back, I've realized that things have changed. They might be small changes, but they still occurred. For instance, Randy and I have moved from Sunny St. George, to cold, snowy Tooele. Randy is no longer working for Target, and I have increased my work commute to 30 or more miles a day. (Thankfully gas prices have decreased.) We've made new friends, and lost some old ones. We've had a few hospital visits, as well as birthday parties, and spending the holidays with friends and family.
Since change is inevitable, what should I want and hope that the new year will bring? Randy and I are still madly in love, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Unfortunatly I don't think we'll have enough money saved up, even by the end of the year, to buy our own house. Since I can't fulfill it, I am not going to consider it a resolution. With all the problems we've had trying to start a family, I think that's out of the picture for the next year too. It seem that my only constant in life right now is Randy. I guess I could resolve to love him more. That also seems silly to me though, because I love him more every single day. It would be redundant to resolve to do that. So, this year, I'm not making any resolutions. I intend to take the year head on, and accept anything that comes my way. Here's looking to 2009.
